Dress Codes

Sea Days

On sea days it is appropriate to wear swimwear around the pool areas of the ships. Most cruise lines require you to wear clothing over your swimwear to enter restaurants and other sections of the ship. Depending on what time of the year on sea days you only really need casual clothing with shoes that are confortable, low heeled and easy to walk in.

Evenings

Evening dress codes vary within each cruise ship, basically just smart casual clothing. No thongs/flip flops, swimwear attire and hats are permitted in restaurants.

Port Days

Depending on your destination and ports different requirements might apply, For example women might need to wear more conservative clothing as some countries might find our way of life offensive. Remember you are going into someone else’s country and you must go by their rules. Pack clothes that are loose, light weight and sun safe. Confortable shoes are a must especially if you are going to be doing a lot of walking, reef shoes are defiantly recommended if you are planning on swimming, scuba diving or snorkeling.  Remember to take your swimwear, swim shirt, hat and sunglasses.

Formal Nights/Cocktail Nights

Most cruise ships have formal or cocktail nights dress code is smart casual/formal. Cruise Obsessed recommends:
